Get Real Secure were proud finalists in the 2019 National Security Screen Association (NSSA) Design awards held in Sydney, and were happy to be able to share the spotlight with Prowler Proof who were also winners that night, being awarded AGWA's Most Innovative Component for their ground-breaking, operable and fully removable Hinge Window security screen.
The installation of Prowler Proof Hinge Windows at this home in Ascot was one of the first in Australia to use this brand-new, industry-leading technology.
This was only the first of many of Adam's installations of Hinge Window security screens at homes across Brisbane, including on a renovated Queenslander in Kalinga and this new build in Bardon.
When the owners of this Inter-War bungalow in Ascot got in touch with Adam, they were looking for security screens that would give them peace of mind knowing they could safely leave their doors and windows open, but they needed a product that would work with their period-style casement windows.
The brief was for an elegant security solution that would be low-maintenance, easy to clean and allow them to fully operate their windows without the necessity for dangerous fixed bars, old-fashioned grilles or conspicuous hatches. They also wanted to create an emergency exit point. The clients knew exactly what they wanted, but didn't know if there was such a product that would meet their needs.
